Big Muff Pi vs. Little Big Muff

Hello all.
I''m trying to free up a spot on my pedal board and my only option it seems is to get rid of the Big Muff Pi (Which is one of my favoritest boxes) in favor of the Little Big Muff.

Anyone ever use both? I'm curious to know how the Little BM sounds. If it sounds the same then I'm in. If it doesn't sound the same as the Pi, then I'm not.

I can't find any sound clips of it, and none of the music stores by me have the Little guy.

If anyone can help me out I'd really appreciate it.

Thanks!

i'm a Pi guy myself but you'll probably need to mod the little big muff to get it to sound as 'creamy' as the Pi and not so 'clippy'

I appreciate the suggestions but the Big Muff will ALWAYS have a place on my board. The question was whether or not he "Little Big Muff" sounded the same. If not, (as one user opined below), I'm sticking with the Pi. I personally don't think the Swollen Pickle sounds that much different (Let alone "better")

I appreciate your input nonetheless!

yeah, i know a guy who swears by the metal zone, so i crammed a metal zone -> 5 band active eq -> compressor all into one pedal with one switch. everything is preset inside the pedal except for gain and volume, that helped out the metal zone sound a lot!

I had the little big muff and my friend had the big one. Exact same sound. The only difference was the big muff has a gain knob which allowed you to increase or decrease, the little one is just the gain setting on full which sounded best anyway.

Im sure its just a matter of preference. I have a bud who digs the metal zone also. He modded his (the Keely mod) and it sounds way better now than it did when it was "standard."

Speaking of mods, how difficult are they to do yourself? Im thinking it has to be easier than building your own mic pre...
