I goning to make the swicth

so right now i use a fire studio project and logic express. Ive been having alot of problems with it so i decided im going to sell the firestudio project and swicth to pro tools. Whats a good set up they about comparable. i need 8 inputs.

If you're looking to buy new, you'd have to get a 003R to have minimum of 8 inputs, or if you can find one used, a 002R. If you have an old mac/PC with PCI slots, you could get a digi 001, but are obsolete/dead end for upgrading any software...
