Spirit Studio vs M2600MKII

Hei fam..

at the moment im using a crappy soundcraft spirit studio 24, its noisy, it got no headroom but thats the only thing i got at the moment.. im using it only for routing as all my dynamics/pres are outboard, sometimes i do alittle eq on it but the eq sucks. it is all balanced and got direct outs/tape return so thats fine.

i love mixing on a desk, i dont want to go back ITB. my work is 90% synthesizers and samplers, i dont do much recordings at the moment.

i want to do upgrade but i dont have the funds to get a real console at the moment so my questin is ... is the Tascam M2600MKII a big jump from my soundcraft ? small jump ? any upgrade at all or should i expect the same range of sound out of it ..

any input would be great.

Tom.

It's been a long time since I used either - but if memory serves.. the Spirit was a good step up from the 2600.
