Anyone use Fostex RP 11 ribbon or Sony C 38 B mics?

There is one localy for sale (Fostex RP 11 ribbon) for around $300. Worth picking up? Also, a Sony C38 B for $575. Any info would be helpful. Thanks.

RP11, is that the cardioid version of their side-address "printed ribbon" thing? I used one of those Fostex printed ribbon mics once about 20 years ago, it was the bidirectional model (RP88 maybe?), and it was fascinating. Neither amazing nor sucky, but definitely intriguing...I remember thinking at the time that I wanted one if for no other reason than it sounded different from anything else I had access to.

In hindsight however I think that might've been the only reason.
