TC6000 or multiple efx processors

Most of my dough has been going into the input signal chain... but now it's time to improve efx processing...

Current set-up on HD3 (mostly running at 96K SR)
- Plugins = Rev One, Altiverb, and the usual digi delay & Dverb...
- Hardware = two PCM90's...

I'm debating getting a TC6000 versus getting multiple units:

- TC4000... claimed to be a stereo TC6000, but how close and what trade-offs is yet to be seen

- M300 or 224xl Lexicon to get closer to a 480 than my current PCM90's (I really don't want to spend the $$$'s for a 480)

- Eclipse (have on demo).. I like their EMT and RMX and the usual eventide efx, but 96K support is limited, so either I step-up to a bigger Eventide or run 48K word clock with SRC input or go in analog.

I'm leaning toward the TC6000, since it is such a work horse, but it's more $$$'s, and means all the outboard efx would be TC (until I can afford to add other stuff later)... I'm guessing the TC6000 is the better route...

What would you guys do? TC6000 or multiple units?

I'd take a serious look at the Kurzweil KSP8. Much less expensive than the top of the line TC or Lex and apparently quite good.

Check out this thread. Tons of happy users. (I don't work for Kurz)
