16 bit gear.... what to do?

What have you all done with your ADATs, DA88s and O2Rs?
ok ok.. What should I do with mine?
Over the past 5 years I've phased out my PCM 800s. Now I only use my O2R for monitoring and talkback. Using the faders for PT controll is somewhat handy.
Aside from an occasional ADAT or DTRS to PT transfer the O2 doesn't do much.

Any ideas about what to do with this stuff would be great.
Thanks

Sell them while you can? Donate them to charity?

The 02R is wrong in your enumeration, it is a 24 bit I/O capable device.

I use my DA-88s on a daily basis. Are you getting rid of this stuff because it sounds bad to you, or just because it's 'only' 16 bit?

Dave,

I'm not concerned w/ the 16 bit issue. I'm quite happy w/ the sound of the gear, it's just that I'm looking to re-tool the studio and the MDMs are mostly idle and I don't use the O2 for audio.

All my work is done in Pro Tools these days. I have an Apogee SE front end which I'm very happy with.

Are DA-88s your main recorder? If not how are you using them?

Well, the first 16 channels (which tend to get mostly acoustic instruments and drums) are DA-78's, and the other 40 channels are DA-88's. They work just fine.

I can certainly understand getting rid of the old stuff if it's not being used, but in your position, I'd probably keep at least one of your ADATs, to transfer old projects into Pro Tools if for nothing else.

You should be more precise. If you mean the AD DA part and the S/PDIF output you are right but all other I/O including AES/EBU out and I/O cards are 24 bit.
The 02R is a 24 bit device and 32 bit internal resolution with mediocre AD DA conversion if you don't use external AD.
