Phoenix-Tanner divorce?

Maybe I was mistaken about my concept of the big-picture/history of Phoenix Audio (makers of the esteemed DRS-2 Preamp), but it seems that walking-Neve-knowledgebase Geoff Tanner has split from them... Have a look at

http://www.auroraaudio.net/blogger.html
which identifies Mr. Tanner's new enterprise

and

http://phoenixaudio.net/
Where the greeting seems to go to great lengths to attribute itself and pervious versions to Shaun Leveque.

It's none of my business, really and I'm not posting this for any reason other than that I found it curious in the context of my own interest in the DRS-2. Does anyone know if or what this means to future production of the DRS-2?

Other than that, best of luck to Mr. Tanner in his future endeavors.

From the gossip I've heard, the split between Geoff and Shaun has been coming to a head for quite some time. Phoenix USA (Geoff) made the GTQ-2 and Phoenix UK (Shaun) made the DRS-2 so I can't see why the DRS-2 would be affected by the split. Geoff on the otherhand either legally or otherwise put his own product under a new umbrella.

I did hear that both divisions were making competing products (the above mentioned mic pre's) against themselves which may have attributed to the falling out.

Regardless of the reason for the split, they both make fine products.

Shaun Leveque makes the DRS-2, I don't think it will be going anywhere.

Absolutely not!! We have no reason whatsoever to say anything detrimental about Eveanna.

Actually, to put the record straight a little....All prototype work and prototype funding, Schematics, PCB layouts, pre-production runs, and indeed, the first production batches of the GTQ2 were done entirely in the U.K. The DRS-2, DRS-1, and all up-coming Phoenix products will continue to be manufactured in the U.K.
