Difference between Studer A812 and A810, 1/4"

Anybody knows the diffrence in sound quality? Which one should I get? Will be using it as master machine to send mixes to Mastering houses.

As far as I know the only major difference is the maximum reel size.

A technician told me that A807 has a bass/treble setting for recording, but A812 has Bass/mid/treble for recording and playback. Is it right? Is it same in case of A810?
