XLR outs vs 1/4". Does it make any diff?

I've got a 1176LN on the way and am gonna use my first patchbay. The 1176LN, as you gear freaks know, has no 1/4" connectors. Question: will I lose any mojo from this expensive piece of gear if I use a XLR-to-1/4" cable to connect it to a patchbay? Thanks bunches.

Should be fine if you go XLR to TRS - they are both 3-conductor, balanced cables, so no problem.
Avoid going XLR to TS (unbalanced). Good luck, and congrats on your 1176!

Makes no difference other than for those of us who solder cables - I find 1/4" jacks a PITA compared to XLR plugs.

Thank you everyone. Btw, I received the 1176LN today and holy ****. Plugins can't touch this thing. I will purchase those XLR-to-1/4" TRS cables. Thanks again!
