Two Totally Different Beasts! They Both compliment each other quite Nicely.

I have two Trakkers and 3 Distressors. I LOVE what the Trakkers can do in stereo. But if I was only going to have one unit, I'd have to go with the Distressor. They sound great on lots of stuff and can impart their own signature in a way the Trakkers can't (not always a bad thing- the Trakkers can squash the piss out of a signal without killing it like a Distressor or an 1176). Check out Nathan's suggested reading list. Also check out the archives of rec.audio.pro. When both units were new to the market this thread was beaten threadbare.
