Akai Z4 optical out and MH 2882

Hi,

Is there anybody here that has tried connecting an Akai Z4/Z8 or an MPC 4000 for that matter, (using the adat expansion card IB4ADT) to the adat inputs on a Metric Halo 2882??

If so, how did it work? Did you get clicks and pops? is the connection stable, did you have any clocking issues? I'm looking forward to your response, as I'm in need for a multitrack dump setup to speed up my Midi to audio work.

The cards are a bit pricey ($350) considering you can get a new Z4 for around $500 bucks nowadays. But I need to speed my work and I would rather leave the analog inputs on my 2882 free for other simultaneous recording needs.

Thanks for any help!

ps. I tried both Akai and Metric Halo lists and have received no answer.
