Will a US 110V DBX 160XT work in the UK @ 230V?

Hi there

I'm in the USA, i bought a 160XT off ebay and i was under the impression that it had a switch which would let it work @ 230V... alas, i didn't find one.

I don't have a screwdriver so i can't open it up - does anyone know if there's a switch inside?

The wire is built in and the unit says 110V on the actual thing, so i'm not too confident about it

Thanks

Edd

Hi Edd,

my US 160xt did NOT have a switch inside...in fact I swapped the transformer to make it a 230V version.
But dbx may have made changes over the production run.

Cheers
Stefan

I had an 110v 160xt and it didn't have a switch either...

Damn :(

How hard/how much trouble is it to change the transformer? I know nothing about that kinda stuff

Maybe i should just re-ebay it and buy one in the UK... they are hard to find back home, though... and this one is in great condition...

Thanks

Edd
