MXR Dyna Comp identifying & is it better than the current RI's

Hi, Guys!
can You help me to identify revision of MXR Dyna Comp?
i've bought recently a new RI of Dyna Comp (rev f.2), 'cause that's all i can afford for now. i think it's not that bad for the money, but it has a few things which i dislike: the sensitivity knob has really sharp transition from medium compression to over the top squash after 10:30 o'clock, so the usable range from 7 to 10 & after that it's really sharp transition to super squash (from 10:30 to max setting it's gradually increase the compression) . second, it's scooped the mids (but i like how it's adds top end).
i found used Dyna Comp for reasonable price, i wanna date it and find out which of revision is it. and more importent - is it better than a new one!?

does anybody know more about this revision? how it would be compared to current rev F (besides true-bypass)?
