Caring for a vintage guitar (landola)

Hey guys I finally took some time to research a guitar a friend gave me maybe 5 years ago now. Turns out it's not a £50 piece of junk, I always liked it but I don't know anything about guitars. It's a steel stringed acoustic landola FL-50 with a serial number of (I think) 103160 which puts it between 1953 and 1972 according to their website.

Basically its very dusty, one of the bridge pins has been replaced with something modern and the varnish looks like it's cracking a little all over.

What can/should I do to look after it properly? I'd quite like to give it new strings and replace the replaced bridge pin to treat it better than it has been.

I'm not interested in selling it but I'd be interested to know how much it would cost to insure/replace.
