Now would it be possible to split said midi keyboard into two if i purchase the bass aswell? with the lower two octaves for the bass and the higher two for the keys?

Whether you can set the MIDI receive channels on the Volcas to different channels -- is this a known spec for these yet??
Whether you can set up your controller keyboard into two different zones, each with its own MIDI channel that corresponds to the MIDI channel settings on the Volcas
Whether you need a MIDI splitter (thru) box or if you can daisy chain the MIDI signal somehow on the Volcas
Another possibility would be if you can set the note ranges on the Volcas, you could have them both on MIDI channel 1 for example.
I don't know whether that is possible with these boxes or not.
