The HS80M is already a good speaker, I did not know what to expect as Bob continued to tweak and mod and put it up against a stock one. The dynamic range of the actual music is restored once the limiter is disabled, the low end is unrestrained as well. The "blur" is removed and the midrange has an exceptional separation and clarity. Transient material snaps sharper. The high end is more extended and fine detail is delivered, and the tone of the tweeter is transformed into a present but smooth sound.
The result sounds like an amp connected to a great pair of speakers, and not so "processed" like you hear with modern, active monitors. And yes it kills an NS10 up and down, no comparison.
