So, I've been in the market for new monitors for months now. Or even years, but really decided to start saving up probably 6 months ago.

I had originally narrowed it down to:

Adam AX7
Neumann KH120
Focal CMS 65

I was heavily leaning on the KH120s. Like, about to order them within the next week or two.

Then, I get the email from War/ZenPro about these modded HS80Ms.

I dont know if it's just cuz I'm a sucker for cheaper modded stuff (like the oktava 012s...im just in love...my apex 205 w/ lundahl...in love)

Or if it's because, soemwhere in the back of my head, i always think modded is better (like a sports car...stock is good but pricey...get a cheaper car and mod it, its better)

I do have a tiny control room - well treated, but tiny. I actually keep my doors (directly behind me) open and have 703 panels behind me. Let's some low end escape and the gobos dont let it come back.

That being said - I'm really torn. I was so set on the KH120s. I had heard the normal HS80Ms and was impressed...but only for the money...

With them being opened up like that, and still a pretty fair amount cheaper than the KH120s, I'm considering them. I realize no one has really had a chance to try them, but I'm posting this anyway. If anyone does get a chance, please please post the findings! Goodness, gracious.
