The modules can be bought seperate at pretty great prices (compared to the roland gear). Could you just use these with a hardware sampler and midi converter - rather than the crappy pre-set module???

I have the pintech kit and like I said eariler, you'll outgrow the module almost immediately. I bought my entire kit [new] for not much more than the concertcast heads alone, so in that regard, I'm pleased. The kick trigger and HH pedal don't feel as high quality as the other triggers but they do work ok. I think if you're looking at it as an entire system, the Hart Prodigy w/ Alesis D5 might be better. The Hart may even be a bit cheaper.
