I see what you mean, much more linear with improved midrange resolution, very nice. I plugged the ports when i first got them but felt i lost too much low end. I had them on a desk in an untreated room though. Now i've got them up on stands with mopads and some. I left the ports clear to reinforce the low end but this is much better. I can hear how the port resonance was causing some midrange smear and losing transient detail but now i can hear it. Looking forward to seeing what effect Arc will have! heh

What's special about the monster 100 cable then? i need some new cables but the Yams are sensitive to ground noise, as i found out with my laptop, even with balanced cables.
