i will say that the mid and high detail was astounding and awesome...but without a low end..i cant mix....

I have had my HS80m's for two years (no sub) and only have them sitting on some auralex because I have a flat, hard wood cherry desk. They are the flattest monitoring source I come across. I cross check my mixes with AKG K701's (Open Headphone) as well as some Shure 240's (Closed Headphone) and I've never had any problems getting things where I want them.
