I have owned the HS80M speakers for five years so I guess I can speak about them clearly.

The upper-mids are very forward and the low end has a resonance around 80 cycles that is very annoying.

Very difficult to get the low end right, and even worse it forces one to mix dark for no reason.

These monitors are just not very good.

I hate to say it, but it's just the truth.

P.S. I have experience with the full system, the sub etc.

P.P.S. There is nothing "flat" or "extended" about these, I don't believe in monitors that have the amps built in anymore now.
