Because you guys are going in circles and I have to repeat analogies. Sorry to have to repeat it again. Again, you get what you pay for.

Making assumptions about what other people know or don't know. Insulting those who disagree with you, or calling them amateurs just because they don't prefer the Virus over a softsynth.... a completely subjective issue.
Oh really? First of all, I was the first person that a member took a rude jab at, and then I responded to the unwarranted rudeness with a defense. the record speaks for itself. Look at the member who told me I don't know what I am talking about. Drool master. He insulted first.
And secondly, i did not use the word amateur to describe a person who prefers another cheaper synth versus the virus. I respect that decision and preference which is subjective. But what I said was an amateur belief was the claim that a $200 VST like camel audio sounds as high quality as the Virus. A one man operation defeating a multiple member operation that went into the virus. To me this is impossible, but who knows... all I am saying is that whoever claims that is only trying to get under people's skin for no reason - another definition of being a troll. You can see that in this thread.

You keep repeating that the Virus sounds better only because it costs ten times as much as Alchemy, but completely fail to take into account the value of the hardware the virus runs on, the R&D costs, the distribution model, the hype, and many other factors that are the actual reason the Virus is more expensive.
I have no reason to think the price of a Virus is to cover R&D costs. I have reason to think that the prior R & D was well done but has lead to the creation of a synth that is worth the final result of that R & D - the price is worth what you get inside. As for the Hype - i did not rely on that, I verified first hand whether the hype was valid. It was.
