I guess I'm just used to using the RADAR, but I can't imagine wanting a plug-in between my source and the recording.
I track through compression, delay, reverb, Eleven, all the time. Very rarely through eq though.
I don't know too many vocalist that don't at least want some verb in their headphones, save Rap, which I never record.
You may be using outboard and/or a console for this?
