I can agree, that also for me M149 Jubilee is great for close, warm, silent vocals, but on loud vocals it is really sound like compressed and really thin. Maybe one reason is superhot output(+18db!!!), and for this mic You need to find preamp really carefully with big headrooom..Just maybe
