At the top of page 99 I documented my install procedure in detail. We have similar hardware specs. You can pick out the pieces that are pertinent in your situation. It may be a little outdated, so be careful about that.

Since much has changed and updated...i wont be following the BOX install protocol. All i ask is for a quick install list (
driver+firmware+updater+any warnings) that I need to download and install in the
correct sequence.

Quad Core Q6600, 4GB ram, XP Pro SP2 32-Bit
Gigabyte motherboard, builtin TI firewire + got an additional TI FW pci too.
DAWS : Nuendo 3 and 4
(planning to use full N8 functionality with Nuendo 4, or sometimes limitedly with Nuendo 3....DAWs and plugins are already installed...
wont be installing Cubase)
Will be using N8 alone with my DAW. No other hardware.
