I talked to the engineer of the Coleman products. A very nice guy who was friendly and answered all my questions. I think his products are very good, however one product with talkback does not have all the other important features. The one with the good features lacks the talk back. He does not have them all in one package. He then said, it could not fit in a one rack and he would have to re-engineer a two space rack. The other issue is no remote. I guess if your rack is within arm reach it would be ok. but now that I have a remote, I cannot imagine working without one.
Hey Dawgear, how do you use your Coleman M3PH II. If I was going to get one of his setups thats the one I would of got. What do you do a talk back though?
SPL has a decent monitoring system as well. It is a little bulky looking and has no metering or D/A. If you don't need either and don't mind the way it looks, it is a good option. Not sure if you would really hear a difference between the 3 units. They are all passive systems. However I do agree that Coleman uses better quality stuff inside over the CS. Cannot comment on the SPL
