I'm more interested in the new workflow and QoL features because the sound to me is fine as is. Maybe I'll think different when the hype is real, but simply adjusting volume for each room/speaker seperately will be a godsend.
I think there will be an adjustment time for some with the ear resonance removal process. For some that may take a few attempts to get right…just as it took some a while to tweak the ear profile type and centre eq.
For sure there will be a few who prefer an older model of a monitor just because they are so used to that, or a particular quirk suits them. But luckily they can all still be accessed.
Most will think v5 is a massive improvement over v4 with improved clarity and bass response.
And one person will bring up finding a bug with the old iPhone model ;-)
I think it’s like upgrading your studio monitors. It takes a while to get them set up and properly singing. You might have doubts you’ve done the right thing if the improvements aren’t instant, but then when it’s all dialed in you can really hear the improvements.
