Thanks to the help of Christian “Bowie” Whitmore, I was able to find a tube that fits the sound I was after in the Soyuz.

I tried a plethora of tubes out last year, I was very eager to hear them all (most excited about the Mullard) but once I got to the Raytheon 6ak5 (which was suggested by the man himself) and put headphones on and just simply spoke into it, I could tell that it was something special. It’s dead quiet, like all the air in the room got sucked out, 3D effect will put a smile on your face (especially in the low end), and has the overall tone I was looking for.

Soyuz + Tree Audio Branch + Burl = vocal chain heaven

Just posting this for anyone else who is interested in smoothing out the upper mids on their Soyuz, and getting some other benefits along the way.
