They did have to transfer the rhythm tracks from the safety reel because of worn out tape, but that was recorded on a 3M 24 track at Sausalito Record Plant (and other bits and bobs at various other studios).

From what I can find, it was mixed at Producer's Workshop, so I don't know if any of Rumours ever went through the Stephens tape machine? I presume the 24 track tape would have been mixed down to a 2 track stereo machine?
