I'm very happy with my mac mini M2 pro, but searching about a bit it looks like I can get a M4 mini, new, for about the same money that I could get by selling my used M2 pro. (At least here in Norway it is so).
I use my mac for everything; Pro tools, Adobe Lightroom/photoshop, entertainment (as my main monitor is a 55" OLED), everyday tasks, plus converters, controllers, printing, scanning, etc. Everything is hunky dory.
In comes possible trade wars. I was planning on staying with this setup for a couple of more years, but what if apple prices rise? And possibly quite soon? (Please let's not discuss the odds).
If I went for a mini M4 with 24/512 right now, I'll get most of my money back selling the M2 pro. I'd also be able to keep it until I can comfirm that the new mac is fine for me. I'd be getting about 33% increase in both single-core and multi-core performance.
What I'd be losing; 8GB memory. With what I do, that's fine. I don't think I've ever seen swapping on the M2. Also one less TB port, and no USB-A ports. That's OK, I have a good TB dock.
Seems an obvious no-brainer, but am I forgetting anything?
Is the M4 mini as noiseless as my M2?
I've had problems with bluetooth performance on all my Mx macs, never with intel macs. I rely heavily on BT from around the room, so BT performance is crucial.
Just looking for input.

Geekbench browser CPU single/multicore performance
Edit: It also seems like I would be going from 6 performance cores to 4. M2 pro: 6 perf - 4 eff. M4: 4 perf - 6 eff. I'm guessing the increased clock speed would make up for thatβ¦
