The current Studio Max deal seems like a no brainer but is there any small print I need to be aware of? Can someone spell it out for the hard of thinking.
Studio Max 4 is the latest full version of “everything” when it was released. So it for instance has ARC 3.5 I think instead of 4, doesn’t have piano verse, tonex, it has Amplitude 5 instead of 5 version 2, TR 5 max instead of 6, etc. it is a fabulous deal for $129, but you won’t get the absolute latest stuff - that will be in the next release presumably of Total Studio Max 5. Native Instruments does the same with their Komplete Bundles. I actually don’t think that is bad - as I stated in another post, they have to limit it like that or you would just keep getting all of the new plugins, sounds, etc. for free and they wouldn’t have any way to stay in business. It costs money to develop new things. Piano verse is a great case in point - it is one of the absolute best piano libraries out there and I’m sure it took tons of hours to put together. They always give a generous discount though (that I remember) for people who go from the last Studio Max to the next - so at $129 I don’t think you’ll lose anything. And…unless I’m wrong you can get 30% off of that with Jam Points? (Peter can correct any of my misinformation!)
But don’t hesitate to get it if you like it, such a great ton of stuff for very little money. And then I would personally just wait and upgrade to 5 instead of buying other little pieces. Enjoy!
Blessings…
