From what I understand, Realphones is extremely tweakable. Which is good and bad. I found SoundID with CanOpener on my HD600s pretty effective. Simple mirror image EQ correction is what it looked like. And CanOpener provided the crossfeed. So, yes, I'll look into Realphones if I have to.
Recently tried the AutoEq.app site on a recommendation for the NDH30s and found the 10 band eq correction suggestion there insane and way off the mark. Then came across this (attached) Rotary 1990 EQ correction for the NDH30s which looks a lot more accurate to me. So I'm trying it with CanOpener at this point. This 10 band correction boosts sub 100hz or so, maybe more like sub 80. It boosts 2khz, dips 3, 4, 5 and boosts above say around 10khz. Essentially a mirror image of the reported freq graph for vanilla NDH30s.
I should probably try the 30s without any correction first and then go from there but, whatever, I'm trying the above first.
