I tried the demo and couldn’t resist buying it, the same situation I had with the MEA-2.
The work done with the MLA-4 is truly impressive: the quality and transparency of the emulation are exceptional, and it has already become an essential part of my mastering chain.
Additionally, one possible improvement could be the introduction of a modifiable gain reduction scale, to optimize compression control during mastering, especially when applying light compression (1-2 dB per band).
Btw, i know this plugin has just been released, but it has only increased the desire, both for me and many others, to see all Maselec equipment emulated by Relab Development. It would be fantastic to see plugins like the MPL-2, MDS-2, and MLA-2, and maybe even a software version of the MTC-1X.
In any case, thanks to Relab Development for bringing another piece of the Maselec sound into the digital world. If this is the level of quality we can expect, the future looks very promising!
