Dale Blake at EML sent me a small circuit for the 1.2 to 1 volt per octave conversion (using the schematics I built another for my ElectroComp 500) to be used with my Arp Sequencer at the time.
I'm also finding the EMLs take on a new life with modern controllers that have gate, volt and modulation outputs like the Arturia Beatstep and Keystep .
Although it would be fun to see a clone the internals and the way the EMLs were put together probably account for most of their character, no ICs involved just a lot of solid state components Op amps and "creative"
wiring.
