You could make god knows how many plugins with the Abyss engine wrapped in different skins with different sets of simplified controls.
I know everyone has their own preferences when it comes to plugins, especially when there are so many choices. Everyone also has their own opinion on what sounds are considered good and what is not. Or what is analog and what is not. Or on what GUI works for them, et cetera. There’s just too many conversations on too many different aspects of a plugin. Everyone goes crazy for the latest plugin and then end up forgetting about it in a month or two, or less. It could also probably be said that what sounds good immediately is probably not good but just trickery. Probably.
That being said, I think it’s very hard to deny what P11 represents though. It is truly a tool of all trades and it still confuses me until today. Probably only because I haven’t spent enough time to really learn it. Or should I say I keep getting distracted by other plugins. Lolz. Too much trickery out there.
