It's a totally understandable question that I know we'll get a lot of. Suffice it to say, for this plugin, we studied multiple examples of the Retro in addition to a vintage Gates Sta-Level (for vintage mode), and we analyzed all of the existing emulations and reached the conclusion that this sound hasn't been done justice to date in plugin form.

The last thing I ever want us to do is reinvent the wheel. Putting the Kazrog badge, and/or the official badge of a hardware company like Retro is never reason alone to release a product. There has to be a compelling sonic reason to release a plugin, or we simply won't bother.
