It never fails. I frankly think that at that price Korg pulled a little miracle. With everything - from oscillators to effects - I am very happy with. Then Modal, which has its own sound and... charm? I mean: I can complain a lot about both - 002 and 008 - but they are unique synths, not having any competition in what they can do best. And I don't believe there will be any digital recreation, because not many people were after them, nor miss them on the market.
Anyway, if you are really after the sound that Prologue delivers, I believe that they are fairly priced and you will not loose much or anything, when time to sell comes. Of course, there was time, when they were even more affordable, but I think that market stabilised and little amount of used ones - especially 16 voice variants - speaks of its quality. People simply are not that into getting rid of them. Maybe with waves of new characterful synths there will be waves of used Prologues, but probably also - each wave smaller than previous one, unless true replacement to Prologue comes. But even if that comes... for two years I am challenging myself to get one more Prologue. And it's only synth seeding such thoughts in my mind (with small exception to Modal 002, which has smaller brother in my setup). That's how good it sounds. ;]
Sorry for longer answer, but I tried to glue it together with main theme of that thread and also your earlier inquiry.
Cordially,

P.S. When watching Jexus' videos, don't forget to follow with "Thoughts and info" in descriptions to his demos.
P.P.S. I didn't lay down clear answer to your second question. OB-6 for prototyping and, if possible, P16 for execution. 002 has its own ground, not occupied by previous two. It usually comes to what I have in my mind. As a side note: I contemplated getting Intellijel's Atlantix for that SH-101 sound and found myself totally fulfilled with stock Ableton's plugin - Bass. I was surprised how good it sounds. These four are my most used tools for melodic stuff for quite a long period now. ;]
Thank you for your detailed insights.
Will you be getting the behringer Wave?
