The doc was good and fun to watch. My only issue with it was the part about how they claim black artists such as Pointer Sisters or James Ingram were trying to be yacht rock to get a bigger audience. I don't buy that. I don't think Richard Perry making records with the Points Sisters gave two hoots what Ted Templeman was doing with the Doobie brothers. They made their own records and tried to sound hip and tried to make the best records they could make. They may have even outdid the originals in some cases. For obvious reasons, they were better singers.
