Comb filtering is inevitable in a room with two sound sources, reflective surfaces & boundaries plus two ears and HTRF reflections. IMO this is why room modelling is superior to room measurements (impulses/sweeps) which include speaker distortion, microphone distortion and flaws inherent in static impulses or sweeps.
Have you tried APL’s Virtuoso? It does room modeling , I use it together with Realphones (only headphone correction)
