I see VSX as primarily offering binaural stereo environments, whereas this product provides a binaural multichannel solution for mixing in Atmos. I don't think these two products compete with each other at the moment. If you're mixing in stereo, go for VSX. If you're mixing in Atmos, Virtuoso is the best choice. If you're asking Slate for a multichannel solution, then yeah... you definitely should! LOL!
