The opposite is still possible although I have a warning from Logic saying the version is older on the Mac Pro and that it may not be possible to use all functions, but since I use only basic functions, I can still switch from one system to one another without any issue. In this perspective, the value for money from this combo is just amazing, I use my Mac Pro with 64GB and x5 HDD for 16To of storage, I never had any issue with it, it's just so good after 16 years ! And I can use the latest plugins from Wave to Output, BX or Fabfilter... When I read people complaining about Logic and hardware issues, it makes me laugh There is no better value for money on the market right now.
I will upgrade to M chip when the dust will settled, right now there is no need, and oh by way, I can use Reason 12 like a charm on my 2009 Mac Pro ! Will keep it just for Reason in the worst case
