I found the issue, it's Apple ID. Once I turned that off, I was able to save and save as again. Both in Pro Tools and checking Logic Pro X 11.0 now.

I've had this too! (NB. it was on a previous logic version so not necessarily 11 related) My symptom was could not bounce out of Logic but could save projects etc. Something somehow gets messed up with permissions to write to some locations and logging out of iCloud resolved it.
