FYI, I had been using an archaic 2015 Intel Quad Core Core i7 MacBook Pro during that entire time which was so loud and ran so hot as to be almost unusable. Sadly, the promise of super-powerful, low-noise, ultra-cool Apple Silicon laptops turned out to be more of a sick joke than reality, unfortunately.
It's universal testimony that the M-powered laptops are a serious improvement. Gotta give them that.
