Hi, the approach I would take is listen to great sounding references for as long as you can first.
Create a system where you can then switch easily between those references and your live mix.
Level match them as much as possible.
This should expose issues VERY fast. Maybe the reference has way more bass and you realize your live mix is bass shy. Or you may hear a lot of mud on your mix that has to be carved out. Or harsh frequencies sticking out.
If it's a mix you've already started on speakers you may have overcompensated for their inaccuracies, and those problems (like lack of bass due to your speakers resonating on certain frequencies) will start to become very obvious on EVERY speaker.
You'll get great results if you follow the steps above.
