Yes, XLR all the way through so it should be impossible to have the phase wrong and it doesn't really sound out of phase. With the sub there is some bass but it's just not really what I would expect. Yes I've played with all the switches in various position including neutral.

I guess it has to be the room, btw 3 walls are concrete 1 is drywall.

I'm just worried about wasting all this time, effort and money trying to treat the room and it ends up still sucking.

I haven't tried any other speakers in there. I do have a pair of Audioengine A5's but they are not monitors. This is at another house so I'll have to lug them over there, and I'm kinda holding back cuz I fear they will sound better than what I've just wasted my money on.
