Apple no longer support FireWire for CoreAudio and no longer test it. They removed their generic driver entirely in macOS 13. If a developer wrote their own driver then right now it does still work. For example MOTU no longer claim compatibility of their FireWire drivers with current macOS however if you install them they will still work.
However because Apple no longer supports it it could break at any point with any update and Apple would not consider it a bug and would not fix it.
