I want to like Pianoteq 8 but for me it's not quite there yet. My main piano has been Synthogy American Concert D, and I've warmed up to Garritan CFX as an alternative.

I've conceded that sampled pianos can be only so good. Rather than adding more of them, I'll stay use what I have and possibly jump into a future Pianoteq update. Small data footprint and expressiveness of modeling are appealing.
