Thanks for the suggestion but unfortunately the auto pad with el bypass won't help me. My issue is, that I can't easily A/B listen to each module. It also introduces another issue, because after the limiter sits the MtM Reference plugin to A/B listen against reference tracks.
I honestly don't understand how it makes sense to use the drive of the next module (hf limiter doesn't even have one) to compensate gain of the previous. The manual only tells me that it works this way, but not why. From a usability perspective it would even make more sense to me if drive would be an output gain, since the modules all have a threshold anyway. Maybe it could be a configuration option in the plugin to switch between pre/post drive?
