Every now and then, I feel the urge to DIY. You can't work 3+ years on a build and just stop after.
So, I put that energy towards small improvements. First I finished my shelves & drawers :
And did small shelves under the speakers for the NCore amps so they don't rest on the floor anymore :
I thought about doing a small side / client table. I had a bit of floor leftovers. I glued some planks on a plywood base, sanded the varnish, glued veneer strips on the edge, and here it is, finely sanded :
Then with the finishing hard-wax oil. It's always a "wow" moment when you apply it ! I love black walnut.

For this summer, I've a plan : finishing the mezzanine / lounge. First, the wall. It had big holes, small rocks falling down. It had to be "stabilized". Since humidity in these rocks is a major concern, the wall has to breath to regulate its RH levels.
Lime plaster is indicated for this, in 3 coats. First coat, very rough, to work as an adhesion layer for the thicker second coat, that will level & smooth the wall. Third coat is done with fine grain.
