Dumped some money into credits and played around for about an hour...that API 5500 EQ is something. The free one is cool too..I have a 303 loop in current project and ran it through every processor...drove it hard too.

1176, LA2A, Distressor, Silver Bullet, Chandler compressor, and the Manley Vari-mu...what's fascinating about these analog units is even when they are clipping a lot...it still sounds good.

The Kush Omega N does a pretty solid emulation of this effect...I played around with A/B-ing. That's a nice $19 plug-in.

One sad note...no ITB eq will sound like that analog API....it's $2500+ for a reason.
